To sort-of close off our look into the Paul McGann/Eighth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ in the 60th Anniversary Marathon, let’s check out one of the many Big Finish audios featuring this particular incarnation of the character. For this occasion, I’ve chosen the second story of the Eighth Doctor/Mary Shelley trilogy of Big Finish audios that was released in 2011. This is ‘The Witch From The Well’, starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor and Julie Cox as Mary Shelley.

This is a four-part adventure by Rick Briggs, who provides his second contribution to ‘Doctor Who’. His first contribution was ‘The Entropy Composition’ in ‘The Demons of Red Lodge and Other Stories’, featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. ‘The Witch From The Well’ also features special guest stars like Simon Rouse (from ‘Kinda’), Andrew Havill (from ‘Voyage of the Damned’) and Serena Evans. Does this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure still win me over after hearing it back in November 2011?
