Morning Tim.
That video was amazing. You really made my day. When you said that Jim Carrey would play The Master I burst out laughing and remembered what day it was. The closest we ever got to a DW movie was obviously the 1996 tv movie, although Scratchman was originally meant to be a movie before it finally got made into a novel.
Thanks for this Tim and happy April Fools.

Hi ML.
Very pleased you enjoyed the video. I enjoyed making it. Don’t forget we also had the two Peter Cushing ‘Dr. Who’ movies from the 1960s with the Daleks. 😀
Many thanks for your comments. Happy April Fools to you too.
Here’s another April Fools video I did with Sarah Sutton back in 2019 in case you haven’t seen it – https://bradleybasement.wordpress.com/2019/04/01/a-doctor-who-review-by-tim-bradley-with-special-guest-star-sarah-sutton/

Here’s something else I’ve just remembered. Jim Carrey was originally considered to play The Doctor in the 1996 tv movie as were Harrison Ford. Christopher Ecclestone and Peter Capaldi. I bet you didn’t know that.

Hi ML,
I actually did know Jim Carrey was considered to play the Doctor in the ‘Doctor Who’ TV movie. I didn’t know about Harrison Ford, Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi. The TV movie would be very different had one of those four actors had been cast to play the Eighth Doctor instead of Paul McGann. 😀
Many thanks,
Tim. 🙂

There are a few other actors who were considered that I forgot to mention such as Tim Curry, Anthony Head (who played Mr Finch in School Reunion and who i also know for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Merlin (the BBC series), Tim McInnerny and Paul’s brother Mark Mcgann.

I had a good laugh at this until Jim Carrey name was mentioned to quote the Tenth Doctor “don’t do that…..just don’t”, Jim Carrey as The Master i need a lie down the very thought of it strikes fear in my heart, can you imagine his gurning face pulling over the top antics…….No No Nooooooooooooooooo.
Jim Carrey as a future Doctor or Master is the same as being strapped to a chair with Last Jedi on repeat…….. torture.

Hi Simon,
So I take it you enjoyed the video. 😀
Oh I don’t know. I think Jim Carrey would make an interesting Doctor or Master should he ever be cast in the show or a movie production. Hehe! 😀
At least I’m happy the reaction I got from you about Jim Carrey appearing in my video was what I expected. 😀
Thanks for your comments, Simon.
