Quick ‘Hawkeye’ Review – ‘So This Is Christmas?’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After checking out ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ at the cinema, it’s only fair for me to finish checking out ‘Hawkeye’ on Disney+. I enjoyed the series finale to ‘Hawkeye’, especially as it’s filled with Christmassy stuff as well as a fine conclusion to many character arcs that have gone on in the series. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, I can see why this movie was released at Christmas time, because it has everything in it! All the hype that had been building up to the release of the movie has been worth it. I was afraid this movie wouldn’t live up to the expectations of everybody, including me. But it exceeded those expectations. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘The Ladykillers’ (2004)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

As a kid, I saw the 1955 film ‘The Ladykillers’ with Sir Alec Guinness. I enjoyed that film when I saw it on VHS in the 1990s and it’s nice to revisit it now and again, whether it’d be on TV or on DVD. It’s a black comedy drama film that’s been cherished by many and it’s worthy of being a quaint English film. Continue reading

Quick ‘Hawkeye’ Review – ‘Ronin’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to check out the penultimate episode of ‘Hawkeye’! I’ve enjoyed the series so far. It’s interesting how it showcases Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye; how his past as Ronin during ‘Avengers: Endgame’ comes back to haunt him; and how his relationship with Kate Bishop develops. Continue reading

Quick Blu-ray Review – ‘Downton Abbey: The London Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Let’s talk about the 2013 Christmas Special of ‘Downton Abbey’ called ‘The London Season’. It’s interesting that most of these ‘Downton Abbey’ Christmas Specials don’t have a Christmas theme about them. It’s like how the last three ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ Christmas Specials aren’t Christmassy. 😐 Continue reading

Quick TV Series Review – ‘The Larkins’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

‘The Larkins’ is a 2021 TV adaptation of the H. E. Bates novel ‘The Darling Buds of May’. I was aware of ‘The Darling Buds of May’ before checking out this series, having seen the first episode (I believe) of the 1991-93 series, which starred David Jason, Pam Ferris, Philip Franks and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Continue reading

Just so you know, I never saw these ‘Nativity’ films on the big screen. 😐 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, there’s more Christmassy stuff featured in this ‘Hawkeye’ episode recently. This included Clint Barton and Kate Bishop partying around with Christmas stuff at Clint’s New York apartment along with Lucky the Pizza Dog as well as the 1946 movie ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ being shown on TV. 🙂 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As I’ve done with Series 11 and 12 of ‘Doctor Who’, it’s only fair that I share my final thoughts on Series 13, which is essentially the six-part story called ‘Flux’. I hope to update my ‘final thoughts’ on ‘Flux’/Series 13 when it comes to talking about the season in my review on the upcoming Blu-ray set. Continue reading
