Quick DVD Review – ‘Bonnie Scotland’

51crwynikgl

Hello everyone! 🙂

Just want to share a few brief thoughts of what I made of a ‘Laurel & Hardy’ film I’ve never seen before. I saw this last Saturday during the Easter weekend. This is ‘Bonnie Scotland’, a film featuring Stan and Ollie visiting Scotland where they hope to inherit a fortune and get drafted into the army. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Last weekend was my parents wedding’s anniversary. As a family, we watched the Disney film ‘Fun and Fancy Free’. This film features the two stories ‘Bongo’ and ‘Mickey and the Beanstalk’ with Mickey Mouse; Donald Duck and Goofy. This is a very good, feel-good film for everyone to enjoy! Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘The Revenant’

The_Revenant_2015_film_poster

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve seen ‘The Revenant’ with Leonardo DiCaprio on the big screen!

NB. This is a 15-rated film, as it’s suitable for persons of 15 years and over. It contains strong violence, bloody injury detail and strong language.

This was recommend to me by Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of ‘Doctor Who’), when I saw her recently at the ‘Science of the Time Lords’ event in Leicester, January 2016. She asked, ‘had I seen ‘The Revenant’ yet?’. I said “No, I hadn’t” and she recommended I’d see it on the big screen, and that’s just what I did. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Dad’s Army’ (2016 film)

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve had a great time at the cinema seeing the new ‘Dad’s Army’ film! I enjoyed seeing this take on my favourite BBC TV sitcom series. It’s different and it’s not as good as the BBC TV series. But it was worth the entertainment and there were some funny moments to enjoy from the cast in this film. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Well, what did I make of ‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie’?

This was a fun movie when I saw it at the cinema last Tuesday. I know I feel like a big kid, but I really enjoyed seeing this movie with Snoopy Dog and his master Charlie Brown. My little doggie Cuddles enjoyed it too! 😀 This is definitely a kids-friendly film. I loved Snoopy as he’s cute and funny in this. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Paddington’

Paddington

Hello everyone! 🙂

I also had this DVD for Christmas 2015!

‘Paddington’ is a brilliantly delightful movie featuring the famous little bear found on Paddington Station in London. I remember watching Paddington Bear in his own children’s TV show when I was a kid. Now I’ve seen the movie, I can safely say this has been a very pleasing movie to see for all ages! Continue reading

Quick DVD review – ‘Shaun the Sheep Movie’

Hello everyone! 🙂

This is something else I had for Christmas!

As I’m a ‘Wallace & Gromit’ fan, it’s fitting that I should have the ‘Shaun the Sheep Movie’ on DVD. I’d seen this movie in the cinemas back in February 2015. It’s a while since I’d seen it and I almost forgot what it was about. But it was great to see it again with Shaun; Blitzer and his flock of friends. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Here is my first DVD review on ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ film series directed by Marc Webb!

My review of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ starring Andrew Garfield; Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans is now here on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. This is the beginning of a new era of Spider-Man and a reboot from the original trilogy as it starts the story totally afresh looking at the story of Peter Parker and how he discovers the secret about his parents. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘A Royal Night Out’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’d like to give a little review on the film ‘A Royal Night Out’, which I saw recently last Friday night with my parents on DVD. I saw this film at the cinema in May 2015. It’s a film to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Victory of Europe Day (VE Day). The 8th of May was VE Day back in 1945. It’s also the day of my birthday, which was the 8th of May 1989. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Spider-Man 3’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Here is my third DVD review on the original ‘Spider-Man’ film trilogy directed by Sam Raimi!

My review of ‘Spider-Man 3’ starring Tobey Maguire; Kirsten Dunst and James Franco is now here on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. This isn’t the best film out of the trilogy and it’s rather sad the Tobey Maguire era ends here as it’s an era of ‘Spider-Man’ I’ve enjoyed tremendously. Continue reading
