Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
As well as ‘Star Trek’, I’ve been able to share my thoughts on ‘Star Wars’ on my blog. 🙂 I wouldn’t say I’m as big a fan of ‘Star Wars’ as I am of ‘Star Trek’ and ‘Doctor Who’, but it’s been good to check out the ‘Star Wars’ movies and shows that I’ve seen over the years.
Initially, I saw ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’ in January 2016 and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ in December 2016 at the cinema when doing my blog. Sadly, we lost Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the ‘Star Wars’ movies, in December 2016.
In 2017, I did my ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’ from October to November. This focused on the first six ‘Star Wars’ movies – ‘The Phantom Menace‘, ‘Attack of the Clones’, ‘Revenge of the Sith’, ‘A New Hope’, ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ and ‘Return of the Jedi’. Yay!
I did my review on ‘Return of the Jedi’ with Timelord007, which was great fun to do. 🙂 I later did a bonus in-depth review on ‘The Force Awakens’ before seeing ‘The Last Jedi’ on the big screen in December 2017. Who knew how divisive that ‘Star Wars’ movie ended up being?
After seeing ‘The Last Jedi’ at the cinema, I did my in-depth review on ‘Rogue One’, which was great to do and I shared it a day after New Year’s Day in January 2018. Later that year, I saw ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’, which was great fun for me to see on the big screen in May.
In November 2019, I did a ‘Star Wars Review Season’ on four certain ‘Star Wars’ stories. I did my in-depth reviews on the book/audiobook ‘Lords of the Sith’ by Paul S. Kemp, the film ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’, the ‘Star Wars Holiday Special’ and the film ‘The Last Jedi’.
This was all before seeing ‘Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker’ at the cinema. From seeing the movie on the big screen, it was a rather messy conclusion to a rather messy trilogy of ‘Star Wars’ films. Despite that, I had a great time watching them. 🙂
During the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, I saw ‘The Mandalorian’ series on Disney+. I watched Season 1 in August and Season 2 from November to December. For Season 2, I enjoyed doing ‘The Timelord Mandalorian Story’ with Timelord007, Wolfie and Whiskeybrewer.
Sadly, in December 2020, we lost Dave Prowse – the body of Darth Vader – and Jeremy Bulloch – the body of Boba Fett – from the original ‘Star Wars’ film trilogy. I paid tribute to them whilst checking out Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’, having met them at conventions.
In February 2021, I shared my review on the ‘Empire of Dreams: The Story of the ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy’ behind-the-scenes documentary, which I’ve added to my ‘Return of the Jedi’ review. This was after revisiting all the ‘Star Wars’ movies during the autumn of 2020.
For May 2021, I did my ‘Star Wars Sequels Review Season’. This contained my reviews on the original Thrawn book trilogy, including ‘Heir to the Empire’, ‘Dark Force Rising’ and ‘The Last Command’. I also shared my in-depth review on the film ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.
Afterwards, I shared quick reviews on ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ series on Disney+ in 2021 and 2022. I’ve shared a quick review on the Disney+ series ‘Obi Wan Kenobi’ in November 2022, and I’ve shared my thoughts on three LEGO ‘Star Wars’ Specials on Disney+ in May 2023.
In May 2024, I got to see a re-release of ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ for my birthday, which I enjoyed. Like the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’, I haven’t caught up on every ‘Star Wars’ show that’s been released on Disney+, as there are currently too many.
I know there’s a new ‘Star Wars’ film trilogy being developed with Simon Kinberg (former producer and writer of the ‘X-Men’ films) working on it. Should that film trilogy come to pass, I’m looking to checking it out as well as the upcoming film ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

Two years from now it’ll be Star Wars’ 50th anniversary. On that day, may the Force be with you, Tim. 👍🏻

Hi scikimike,
Yes, funnily enough, it’s ‘Star Trek’s 60th anniversary in 2026 and ‘Star War’s 50th anniversary in 2027. I hope to commemorate those occassions on my blog in style soon when the time comes.
Best wishes,
Tim 🙂
