Hello everyone! 🙂
Today is the 21st of October 2015! It’s a very important day for ‘Back to the Future’ fans! This is the day that Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Brown as Doc Brown went to ‘the future’ and visited Hill Valley in 2015 as seen in ‘Back to the Future, Part II’.
On that day, Marty saved his son from being framed. He also, as an older man, got fired (or didn’t depending on how you look at it). Biff also attempted to change history by stealing the Doc’s time-travelling Delorean.
But hang on a minute! Where are the flying cars we were promised in the film? Also, I so wanted to have my own hoverboard 😀 The ‘2015’ featured in ‘Back To The Future, Part II’ is no way like the 2015 today. But Doc Brown said in ‘Part III’, ‘the future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one’.
‘Back to the Future’ is one of my favourite movie trilogies ever, directed by Robert Zemeckis. It’s amazing that 30 years have gone by since ‘Back to the Future’ was made. What better way to celebrate the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy by commemorating the day Marty and Doc visited 2015.
I’m hoping to re-watch the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy sometime soon and review it online.
Here’s to the future!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂

When I re-watched Back To The Future at some point in this century, it gave me a few laughs and I found that quite refreshing. I’ve re-watched many personal SF favorites over the years from 2001: A Space Odyssey to Blade Runner, just to revitalize the childlike imagination that can keep the true SF fans going in these trying times. Back To The Future was one of the nicest surprises to be added to my list. Thank you, Tim.

Hi scifimike,
Gosh, this ‘Back to the Future’ blog post takes me back. I was inexperienced with how I handled my blog back in October 2015. Amazing how much has happened since then. I should revisit the ‘Back to the Future’ film trilogy and update/extend my reviews based on the 30th anniversary Blu-ray box set or possibly a 40th anniversary Blu-ray box set when it comes to 2025. 😀 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ‘Back to the Fuuture’ films.
Many thanks,
Tim 🙂

You’re very welcome. Back To The Future shares its anniversary years with other great sci-fi films of 1985: Brazil, Cocoon, Enemy Mine and The Quiet Earth. And I find special positive energy from the anniversary years for my sci-fi favorites from films and TV.

Thanks scifimike,
I’ve yet to see those movies from 1985. Glad you have very happy memories of watching them.
