And thus, we’ve come to the end of our first ‘Power Month’ review season on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. I hope you’ve enjoyed it. There’ll be a new ‘Power Month’ review season in 2024. For now, let’s close off the first ‘Power Month’ by checking out a ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ episode called ‘Clean-Up Club’ where the Power Rangers team starts up a clean-up club to protect Angel Grove’s environment. But Rita Repulsa causes trouble again when she sends in her latest monster called Polluticron (seriously!) to end the five Ranger teens’ noble efforts to thwart pollution and such. 😐 Will the Rangers be able to defeat Polluticron on the ground as well as in their Dino Megazord? Here we are on the penultimate day of the first ‘Power Month’ season in 2023. So, let’s check out a ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ episode called ‘Birds of a Feather’, where Zack helps a student in his hip-hop martial arts class to build up his confidence by taking part in a Junior Martial Arts Competition. Zack’s student called Kameron must fight against Bulk and Skull’s kid called Biff. No, that’s not a ‘Back to the Future’ joke. That’s what he’s called. 😀 Soon, the Rangers are summoned to stop a monster called Hatchasaurus, who is being controlled by an evil heart called Cardiotron. It’s time for another two-part ‘Power Rangers’ story in ‘Power Month’ where we see the life of Tommy as the Green Ranger put at risk. In this two-parter, Rita Repulsa attempts to steal the Green Ranger’s powers via the use of a power-draining candle, made from magic wax. Tommy’s friends do everything they can to save Tommy as well as stop Rita and her minions draining the Green Ranger’s powers. But things escalate when the Rangers must deal with Rita’s latest monster called Cyclops, who can disguise himself as anything, include the Rangers’ Zords. Will our heroes win the day? In this ‘Power Rangers’ episode for ‘Power Month’ today, Finster creates a new monster for Rita Repulsa on her birthday (seriously). 😀 It’s a monster called Fang, who is very obsessed with having his Goony Bird eggs for lunch. That is until Squatt and Baboo eat them. 😮 Fang becomes upset. 😐 He’s then tricked by Rita and her goons to fight the Power Rangers to acquire more eggs. Will the Rangers be able to defeat the Goony Bird egg-obsessed Fang with their Zords? Will Tommy be able to help his friends as the Green Ranger once he’s captured by Putties? 😐 Continue reading →

On the twenty-seventh day of ‘Power Month’ in 2023, let’s look at the ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ episode called ‘A Star Is Born’. In this episode, Tommy auditions for a karate commercial. Bulk also auditions for the commercial. Who do you think will be the winner? 😀 The other Rangers also spend a day at the beach before they get rudely interrupted by Scorpina and Goldar attacking them with two monsters that become giants. Let’s check out another ‘Power Rangers’ episode today in ‘Power Month’. This one focuses on Kimberly, who has a bad day, which includes getting soaking wet in the rain on her way to school. Rita Repulsa adds to Kimberly’s bad day by sending in the new monster called Samurai Fan Man. 😀 He captures Kimberly and puts her in a giant jar, trapping her in another dimension. The Rangers need to thwart the efforts of Samurai Fan Man, which includes summoning their Zords to form their Megazords. It’s time to check out ‘The Rockstar’, another episode in the ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ series for today’s instalment of ‘Power Month’ this year. The Rockstar of course happens to be a monster. Surprisingly, the focus of the episode isn’t about the Rockstar. The focus happens to be about Rita Repulsa and her minions getting the Mirror of Destruction on Earth. Jason/the Red Ranger spends some time with his cousin Jeremy before he soon joins the Rangers in the fight to destroy the Mirror of Destruction in their Dino Megazord. Here we are with a two-part story in today’s instalment of ‘Power Month’, focusing on mostly Season 1 of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’. It’s time for ‘Island of Illusion’. In this two-part story, the six Ranger teens find themselves fighting in their Zords against two new giant monsters. But the Rangers soon get sent by Rita Repulsa to the Island of Illusion, where they have to confront their worst fears. This includes past monsters from previous episodes as well as fears like snakes, overcoming fear of heights again, and Bulk and Skull being nice (?!). Will Quagmire help the Rangers? It’s time to check out a ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ episode in ‘Power Month’ that I think could have been handled better if it went in a different direction. It starts with Kimberley and her friends performing a school production of ‘Rumpelstiltskin’, which Bulk and Skull manage to mess up, especially with Bulk damaging Kimberley’s grandmother’s spinning wheel. Rita Repulsa then has her minions steal the spinning wheel and it becomes the evil ‘wheel of misfortune’. Today in this year’s ‘Power Month’, we take a look at a ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ episode where Jason the Red Ranger and Tommy the Green Ranger have to work together, both in the Team Ninja Finals at Angel Grove, and when they’re having to collect new weapons being guarded by a new giant Zord called Titanus. Meanwhile, the other Rangers – Zack, Billy, Kimberly and Trini – have to fight off Rita Repulsa’s new Super Putty Patrollers. Also, Jason gets to wear Tommy’s shield as the Red Ranger whilst Tommy uses his Dragon Dagger and Jason’s Power Sword as the Green Ranger. Continue reading →
