It’s time to talk about the first Christmas Special of ‘Downton Abbey’, which was transmitted on ITV1 on the 25th of December 2011 between Series 2 and 3. There will come a time when the 2020 Christmas Special of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ series will come out on DVD. Hopefully with the Series 2 DVD after Series 2 gets transmitted sometime later in the year on Channel 5 in the UK. In the meantime, let’s revisit Series 1 of the new ‘All Creatures’ series on DVD. I can’t say it’s superior to the original 1978-1990 series, but I’m getting into the new show’s tone and atmosphere.
