‘THE REVENGE OF DOCTOR MAGNETO’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

It’s time for Spider-Man to meet Dr. Magneto for the first time. And no, it’s not Magneto from the X-Men, which I was disappointed by. And his name is pronounced ‘Dr. Mag-net-o’…not ‘Mag-neet-to’ as in X-Men. Mind you, he does have a first name that happens to be Matto, but it doesn’t help.
In the story, Spidey saves a boat from Dr. Magneto’s efforts to crash it by sabotaging a lighthouse. Dr. Magneto’s motives as a villain are that he wants to get fame and glory for his magnetic powers. Unfortunately, Spidey manages to get in the way which puts Dr. Magneto off as it gets him angry. 😀
Magneto tries to sabotage a railway line but Spidey fixes it. Magneto sends a Prometheus statue off from a building but Spidey catches it. It’s actually amusing to have a villain like Dr. Magneto who wants to be recognised yet Spider-Man foils him every time. But it doesn’t make him a great villain.
Eventually, Magneto and Spider-Man confront each other at the Hall of Science in New York. Thankfully Spider-Man manages to beat Magneto with his anti-magnetic webbing that destroys his weapon. Overall, this story was decent, but it would be better to have Magneto from the X-Men. 😦
‘The Revenge of Doctor Magneto’ rating – 6/10
