‘AND THERE WERE SEVEN’

‘And There Were Seven’ is set after ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’.
NYSSA #1: Well, Doctor. I hope you have landed us somewhere nice for a change.
DOCTOR 5: Only one way to find out, Nyssa. Let’s go and explore, shall we?
NYSSA #1: I hope Billy will be safe inside the TARDIS whilst we’re out.
DOCTOR 5: Don’t worry, Nyssa. Billy will be fine. Meanwhile, I hope the natives on this planet are friendly.
NYSSA #1: Doctor, we’ve got trouble. There’s a Terileptil on this planet.
DOCTOR 5: Oh dear. Just when I thought we were going to have a pleasant day.
TERILEPTIL: You shall pay for your crimes against the Terileptil race. You, Doctor, and your companion are in my custody.
DOCTOR 13: There! Sorted out the Terileptil with my sonic. (cheerily) Hi, Doctor; Hi, Nyssa. Good to see you two.
NYSSA #1: (astonished) Doctor, it’s you! I mean, ‘you’ from the future. We met her once on the planet Cybeross during that Prime Factor business we had.
DOCTOR 5: These meetings with myself are happening a lot nowadays, aren’t they?
DOCTOR 5: Excuse me, would you mind explaining what you’re doing in my TARDIS?
DOCTOR 13: I’m here to help, Doctor. You need to save your friends – Adric and Tegan. They’re in great peril!
NYSSA #1: Adric and Tegan?! Great peril?! Doctor, we must rescue them immediately!
NYSSA #1: Have we arrived on the the right planet? Are Adric and Tegan nearby?
DOCTOR 13: Dunno, Nyssa. Something odd happened with the TARDIS controls. I fear we’ve diverted off-course.
DOCTOR 5: Be ready for anything. The ‘who’ or ‘what’ that brought us here may pop out at any moment.
CYBERMAN: Halt! Do not move or you will be deleted!
DOCTOR 13: Aww, great! Just what we need. A Cyberman blocking our path.
NYSSA #1: We can’t outrun this Cyberman. What are we going to do?
DOCTOR 5: I don’t know, Nyssa. Let’s hope that someone will come to our aid as swiftly as possible.
DOCTOR 10: (cheerily) Hello everyone! No need to worry! I conked that Cyberman out for you with my sonic screwdriver.
DOCTOR 5: (astonished) You again! Goodness me, how our paths cross a lot lately.
NYSSA #1: We met this Doctor at the Grand Hotel in Swansea on Earth in 1930. Also during the Prime Factor business – you, Billy and me.
DOCTOR 13: Good thing you turned up, Doctor Ten. I didn’t know how I was going to use my sonic on the Cyberman without getting at him from behind.
NYSSA #1: Have you come to help us rescue Adric and Tegan?
DOCTOR 10: Absolutely, Nyssa. I can help your Doctor with piloting the TARDIS back on her correct course.
DOCTOR 5: Excuse me! I’m perfectly capable of piloting the TARDIS to a certain place and time, thank you very much.
DOCTOR 13: That’s a matter of opinion, speaking from experience.
DOCTOR 5: I hope you’ve taken us to the correct spatial-temporal location, Doctor.
DOCTOR 10: Of course, I have. Have a little faith.
NYSSA #1: No sign of Adric and Tegan. I wonder where they are.
DOCTOR 13: Don’t worry, Nyssa. I’m sure we’ll find them soon enough. Provided we don’t run into too much trouble.
DOCTOR 5: ‘Provided we don’t run into too much trouble’, I believe you said, Doctor.
DOCTOR 13: Yeah. I wasn’t expecting to meet a Sontaran on our travels either.
SONTARAN: Surrender Doc-tors and puny human female! You are all prisoners of the mighty Sontaran Empire!
NYSSA #1: (protests) I’m not human! I’m Trakenite! And in no way am I puny!
DOCTOR 10: I don’t think he cares, Nyssa. Someone should knock out the Sontaran trooper from behind on the probic vent.
DOCTOR 5: (astonished) I don’t believe it!
DOCTOR 10: That we had our Sontaran trooper knocked out from behind on the probic vent as we hoped?
DOCTOR 13: And that we are now two Nyssas with us!
NYSSA #2: How do you do?
NYSSA #1: How do you do?
DOCTOR 10: How come there are now two of you, Nyssa? This is very weird.
NYSSA #2: I was with Adric and Tegan. I escaped our prison cell in the building nearby to get some help. As you saw, I came to save myself and you three Doctors from the Sontaran that tried to capture you.
DOCTOR 5: Yes, well, make sure you don’t touch each other, Nyssa and Nyssa. Blinovitch Limitation Effect and all that.
NYSSA #1: If Adric and Tegan are still trapped in their prison cell in the building nearby, we must rescue them.
DOCTOR 13: That’s precisely what we intend to do, Nyssa. Come on, everyone! Let’s get a shift on!
TEGAN: Where have you been, Doctor?! Get us out of these force fields!
NYSSA #1: At last! We’ve found them, Doctor!
DOCTOR 5: (cheerily) Hello, Tegan; hello, Adric. Good to see you again.
ADRIC: Doctor, I’m so glad you came back for us. Good thing you found him, Nyssa. (puzzled) How come there are two of you?
NYSSA #2: This Doctor and Nyssa are from the future, Adric. So are these two Doctors on my left.
DOCTOR 10: Right, now that we’ve found them, any ideas on how to get Tegan and Adric out of their force fields?
DOCTOR 13: With us three and our sonics, we should be able to weaken the force fields’ energy levels and let them out asap.
SONTARAN: (barks) All of you, stay where you are! You won’t escape the might of the Sontaran Empire so easily this time! Sonta-ha!
DOCTOR 10: (agitated) How come you’re back on your feet so quickly?! Nyssa here knocked you out not so long ago!
NYSSA #2: Clearly my efforts to tackle the Sontaran weren’t enough.
DOCTOR 13: This isn’t turning out to be a great day for us, is it?
ADRIC: Tegan, I think we’re going to be stuck in our force fields for a while longer.
TEGAN: But Doctor! You, Nyssa, Nyssa, and the other Doctors can’t be captured so easily! Please say you’ll get us out of here as quickly as possible!
DOCTOR 5: I’m afraid it’s not just the Sontaran who’s got us cornered, Tegan.
NYSSA #1: There’s a Mechanoid here too. Where did that come from?
MECHANOID: ENGLISH – ENTER – ENTER – ZERO – ZERO – STOP
DOCTOR 13: They conveniently prepared force fields for all seven of us, didn’t they?
DOCTOR 10: Almost as if we were expected to come. I wonder who engineered all this.
NYSSA #2: The force fields seem impenetrable. A high level of difficulty for us to escape, I think.
ADRIC: Agreed. It’ll take a while for me to pick the lock to get out of my cell before I can free everyone else.
TEGAN: Here’s another fine mess you’ve put us in, Doctors.
NYSSA #1: There must be an easy way out of this situation we’re in. We must find out who our captors are and why we’re being kept prisoners like this.
DOCTOR 5: Don’t worry, Nyssa. I’m sure whoever wants us here will make their presence known. They’ll probably take us out of our cells first to meet them.
MECHANOID: FORWARD – FORWARD – ONE – ZERO – ONE – FORWARD
DOCTOR 5: (cheerily) Absolutely! We’re moving along quite nicely, as you can see.
DOCTOR 10: I wonder who it is we’re going to meet. It could be Davros. Definitely could be Davros. Or perhaps it’s the Master. Or the Daleks.
DOCTOR 13: I hope Nyssa, Tegan, Adric and Nyssa will be alright where we left them. That Sontaran trooper had better not soften them up. He’ll have us to answer to if he does.
OMEGA: Welcome, Doctors! I, Omega, founder of the Time Lord society of Gallifrey, shall have my freedom and revenge. And as you can see, I have a willing helper.
SCAROTH: I, Scaroth, last of the Jagoroth, shall have, in return for assisting Omega, the restoration of my being. I shall be whole again and the Jagoroth will live through me again!
DOCTOR 13: Omega and Scaroth working together? This, I did not expect. How is this even possible?!
SCAROTH: You three will remain silent in your new cubicles whilst we prepare to extract your symbiotic nuclei!
DOCTOR 5: What?! (realises) Omega is hoping to maintain his existence with our symbiotic nuclei in his biological make-up. You, Scaroth, are going to try to stabilise Omega’s condition when he transfers from the Anti-Matter world into our Universe!
DOCTOR 10: You can’t do this, Omega! Extracting our symbiotic nuclei won’t help to maintain your existence in our Universe. The process will degrade it exponentially. You can’t take a risk like that!
OMEGA: Everything has been considered, Doctor. Soon, I shall exist in your Universe and my revenge on the Time Lords shall be fulfilled. Anyone who dares to oppose the will of Omega shall undoubtedly die!
ADRIC: Thank goodness my lock-picking skills worked in the end! I’m glad we’re out of our cells!
NYSSA #2: And we managed to trick the Sontaran by trapping him into one of the cells. Let’s hope the force field will hold.
SONTARAN: (shouts) Let me out! Let me out at once! You shall pay with your blood for defying the Sontaran Empire! You shall pay!
TEGAN: Oh, shut it, Shorty! Now we need to find where the Doctors have got to!
NYSSA #1: They went with that Mechanoid. Let’s go down this way to the left. Hopefully we’ll find the Doctors soon enough.
ADRIC: (realises) Nyssa! Tegan! And Nyssa! Look! We’ve found them! We’ve found the Doctors!
NYSSA #2: (relieved) Thank goodness they’re safe!
DOCTOR 13: We’re not safe, Nyssa! We’re about to have our symbiotic nuclei extracted by Omega and Scaroth! Not nice at all! And we can’t get out of our new prison cells!
TEGAN: There must be something we can do to set you free, Doctors!
DOCTOR 5: By all means, feel free to make any suggestions, Tegan. At present, we’re stumped.
NYSSA #1: We must locate the force field generators. Let’s look around the back and see…
DOCTOR 10: (interrupts; cries) Get back, Nyssa! Get back, all of you! Don’t let Scaroth or Omega kill you!
SCAROTH: These four are dispensable, my Lord. We should kill them immediately.
OMEGA: Agreed. Mechanoid, advance! Eliminate the Doctors’ companions!
MECHANOID: ZERO – ZERO – RED – RED
NYSSA #2: Nyssa! Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
NYSSA #1: I believe I am, Nyssa. We must make contact!
DOCTOR 13: You did it, you two Nyssas! You knocked out Omega and Scaroth! Simply by touching hands!
ADRIC: And knocked out the Mechanoid too! Glad we got to free you Doctors from your cells.
DOCTOR 5: Are you feeling alright, Nyssa; Nyssa?
NYSSA #1: I’ll be fine, Doctor. Just feeling wobbly after establishing contact with my other self.
NYSSA #2: Likewise. Hopefully, no lasting repercussions will show themselves from our contact with each other.
TEGAN: You both deserve a nice sit down and cups of tea once we get back to the TARDIS.
DOCTOR 10: Speaking of which, where did we leave the old girl? Hope it’s not too far to get back to her.
DOCTOR 13: So, after dealing with Omega, Scaroth and their lot, you take Nyssa, Adric and Tegan back to whence they came from with cricket-Doctor in the past, whilst I get a lift with cricket-Doctor and other Nyssa back to whence they picked me up. Alright?
DOCTOR 10: Yep! Happy to go along with that! Alons-y! (happily) It’s brilliant we can all stand around the TARDIS console like this as a team!
NYSSA #2: Indeed! I wondered whether all seven of us would be able to fit inside the console room.
ADRIC: I’m very glad you came to save us, Doctors; Nyssa. I don’t know what would have happened if we had to escape without you.
TEGAN: Me neither. Hopefully, I’ll have less of a headache once we get back to where we came from.
DOCTOR 5: And when, Tegan. Don’t forget that. (gratified) It’s been very nice to see you again. You and Adric. And it’s been nice to meet my future selves.
NYSSA #1: If only we could be together like this as a team for a little while longer. But then, Billy would be missing me and the Doctor greatly.
