Merry Christmas from ‘Bradley’s Basement’ 2025 with special guest stars David Tennant and Jenna Coleman

Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Christmas has come again and here I am with a brand-new Christmas card-like photo of me with not just one but two ‘Doctor Who’ stars. In 2023, it was a video message by me with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa). In 2024, it was a photo of me with Millie Gibson (Ruby Sunday). This year, it’s a photo of me with David Tennant (the Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors) and Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald). 🙂

I’m pleased David and Jenna were willing to do the Christmas photos with me where we held the Merry Christmas and Happy New Year cards at the ‘London Comic Con Winter’ in November 2025. I couldn’t decide whether to do this year’s Christmas photo for my blog with either David or Jenna, so, I decided, why not both? 😀

I wish David Tennant and Jenna Coleman a very Merry Christmas wherever they are in the world with their friends and loved ones. I also wish the same for many ‘Doctor Who’ stars I’ve met at conventions over the years, including Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Matthew Waterhouse, Mark Strickson, Nicola Bryant, Colin Baker, Bonnie Langford, Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Paul McGann, Wendy Padbury, Frazer Hines, Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gill, Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson.

Whilst there’s no ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special year, I’m pleased to have shared my thoughts on the latest spin-off series ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’ on my blog. There’s bound to be more ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas surprises coming soon to my blog, which I’m looking forward to sharing. Speaking of which, there’s ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season by me to enjoy this Christmas season on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, starting tomorrow on Boxing Day. This will be from the end of December 2025 to the beginning of January 2026. I’m looking forward to sharing my reviews on the latest stories featuring Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’, including the latest Big Finish audio stories starring Sarah Sutton.

If you’re longing for a ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special, then please feel free to check out one of my ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Specials on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. This includes the ‘Merry Christmas From the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ stories ‘The Ghost of Leckwick’, ‘The Pantomime of Death’ and ‘Cuddles’ as well as ‘The Five Doctors at Christmas’, ‘Return to Christmas’ and the short story ‘Girl Out of Nowhere’ from ‘The Paul Spragg ReCollections, Volume 2’, which can be found via the Divergent Wordsmiths website.

I’m hoping to share my review on the latest ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Christmas Special called ‘Comfort and Joy’ sometime very soon as well as a behind-the-scenes documentary on ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. I’ve already shared my review on ‘Man vs. Baby’, the sequel series to ‘Man vs. Bee’ and I’m looking forward to sharing a quick review on the third film of the ‘Knives Out’/Benoit Blanc film series called ‘Wake Up Dead Man’. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of more Christmas-related reviews to share on my blog in the next week or so.

If you’d like to check out my Christmas reviews that are already available on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, please feel free to do so. These includes reviews on films such as ‘Elf’, ‘Home Alone’, ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, ‘Holiday Inn’, the ‘Nativity’ film series, ‘The Grinch’ (which I revisited recently at the cinema to celebrate its 25th anniversary) ‘The Polar Express’ and ‘The Santa Clause’ trilogy (plus ‘The Santa Clauses’ series). There are also reviews by me on the dramatizations of the first Christmas involving baby Jesus, including ‘It’s a Boy’, ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, ‘The Nativity Story’ and ‘The Small One’.

For me, it’s very important to remember the first Christmas involving baby Jesus, as he was born in Bethlehem to save us from our sins at Easter time when he died on the cross. I enjoy the various aspects to Christmas, but the core celebration for me is when Jesus came to this Earth so that he can spread the good news of his father God and the kingdom of Heaven. The promise that we will all live happily and with eternal life in God’s kingdom. It’s something that I greatly value when it comes to celebrating Christmas and I always enjoy it when celebrating the occasion at my local church or at home with my family and friends.

Before we finish, I’d like to share this video containing a 1994 animated film called ‘The Story of Christmas’. I used to watch this film on VHS as a kid in the 1990s. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but apparently, two voice actors from ‘Beast Wars: Transformers’ voiced characters in the film. This includes David Kaye (who voiced Megatron, leader of the Predacons) as the voices of Joseph and one of the Wise Men, and Richard Newman (who voiced Rhinox of the Maximals) as the voices of Fathead the Ox and King Herod. What a small world we live in? 😀

Please feel free to check out the video below. Hopefully, I’ll get to do a review on the 1994 film ‘The Story of Christmas’ someday. 🙂

Enjoy!

God bless you all and please keep safe on this very special day.

Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
