‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2025 begins tomorrow!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog where Christmas time is served!

And here I am with a brand-new Christmas wallpaper for my blog’s 10th anniversary. Last year, I hoped I’d be able to put together a new Christmas wallpaper for my blog’s 10th anniversary, and I’m happy I’ve done so. Please feel free to check out the full image below.

As Christmas is upon us again, it’s time to share another ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar’ on my blog for December 2025. This year, I’ve decided to share something very special. In my 2015 Advent Calendar, the focus of Day 1 was about ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’.

To mark the occasion and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ (the books anyway), I’ve decided to share quick reviews on the 26 episodes of Season 1 of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends’. The series debuted on TV in 1984 with the stories read by Ringo Starr.

I’ve very happy memories of seeing ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ as a kid as well as playing with the toys. It’s been nice to revisit the Season 1 episodes of ‘Thomas’, especially since I did my quick review on the 2000 film ‘Thomas and the Magic Railroad’ back in September.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be sharing quick reviews on the first two episodes. Then from Days 3 to 23, I’ll be sharing a review on one episode per day. Then on Christmas Eve, I’ll be sharing my reviews on the last two Season 1 episodes, including the Christmas episode.

It’s been challenging and exciting to put together my reviews on Season 1 of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’, including adding videos of the episodes in the blog posts for everyone to see. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy my summaries and opinions of the 26 episodes as we go through the calendar.

Whilst my blog’s advent calendar is happening, I’ve my own personal advent calendar to enjoy. It contains chocolates and it has a picture of me with Sarah Sutton and Peter Davison from the ‘Happy Who Year’ convention at the Epsom Playhouse back in January this year.

My parents purchased this advent calendar for me especially from Bezzazz.co.uk. I’m so chuffed to have received this advent calendar, especially with a photo of me, Sarah and Peter on it. I wasn’t expecting it, and it’s made my day, especially in the build-up to Christmas.

In terms of upcoming Christmas reviews on my blog in December, well, sadly, there’s no ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special this year, which is a shame. Thankfully, we have the upcoming spin-off show ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’ to enjoy in December.

As I’ve said in my quick reactions video for ‘The Reality War’, I’m not going to do any quick reactions video on ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do a quick review on the entire series itself before 2025 ends. I’m looking forward to it!

There’s also my upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from December 2025 to January 2026 to look forward to. At this point, I’m making a start on putting together my reviews on the latest Nyssa stories. Stay tuned for more details closer to Christmas time.

Other TV items to look forward to over Christmas include the 2025 Christmas Special of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, which I’m looking forward to seeing. I don’t know of the release date, but hopefully, the special will be shown before Christmas. 🙂

There’s the ‘Man vs. Baby’ series on Netflix, starring Rowan Atkinson to look forward to. This is a sequel series to ‘Man vs. Bee’, which I’ve reviewed on my blog already. And, apparently, the series takes place at Christmas time, which is very fitting, don’t you think?

There’s also ‘Wake Up Dead Man’, the third instalment of the ‘Knives Out’ film series, starring Daniel Craig as master detective Benoit Blanc, to look forward to. I’ll probably see the film on Netflix as well as revisit ‘Knives Out’ and ‘Glass Onion’ beforehand.

There are plenty more Christmas surprises to look forward to, which I hope to share on my blog. This includes another trip to Christmas at Bute Park in Cardiff, which I attended last year. How different that light show will be this year compared to last year remains to be seen.

I’m not sure if I’ll be sharing any cinema experiences blog posts this year when it comes to checking out Christmas films at the cinema. I know ‘The Grinch’ is getting its 25th anniversary release at cinemas this year. Whether I’ll see it or not is yet to be confirmed.

I think that’s enough to whet the appetite in terms of Christmas entertainment to look forward to on my blog. I’m looking forward to the Christmas celebrations this year. Hopefully, as we go through December, there’ll be many surprises to look forward to and enjoy.

For now, I hope you’ll enjoy checking out my brand-new Advent Calendar featuring my quick reviews on Season 1 of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends’. I know I’ll be enjoying my personal Advent Calendar with Sarah Sutton and Peter Davison. 😀 Again, I’m so chuffed!

Keep watching this space and stay tuned!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
