Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I’ve had a fair share of day trips and holidays, which I’ve shared on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ over the years. Some of them have tied in with my convention weekends, but I’ve made sure I’ve had day trips and holidays that aren’t convention-related, making it refreshing.
The regular holidays I’ve had in the 10 years I’ve been doing my blog have been in West Wales where my parents and I have stayed in a caravan in Amroth. We’ve had our caravan holidays in Amroth and West Wales in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023. 🙂
I’ve greatly enjoyed those holidays, especially when we get to go to places like Saundersfoot, Wiseman’s Bridge and Tenby. I’ve enjoyed relaxing in the caravan and I saw films such as ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’ and ‘Star Trek: First Contact’ on my android tablet.
I had a chance to enjoy listening to ‘The Moon Stallion’ audiobook, read by Sarah Sutton, when it came out in 2019. There was a lull between 2019 and 2022 where we didn’t go to Amroth in 2020 and 2021, due to the Covid-19 pandemic that happened around that time.
Thankfully, when we did our holiday in Amroth in 2022, it was a triumphant return, and it was great to do a holiday report on that time away. Sadly, my parents and I can’t do Amroth in a caravan, since the person who owned the caravan had to sell it quite recently.
We are planning to do another holiday in West Wales where we aim to stay in Tenby at the Premier Inn. I’ve done the train trip from Cardiff to Tenby for my holiday in Amroth in 2023, following my weekend where I attended the ‘Popcorn TV, Film & Comic Con’ in Sheffield.
So, I know we could do the trip if we wanted to go to Tenby via train. I have in mind that we do a holiday in Tenby in April after Easter. It should be very exciting and well-worth looking forward to, as we’ve enjoyed our small holidays in Amroth and West Wales over the years.
In terms of other holidays, my parents and I went to Woodstock near Oxford where we visited Blenheim Palace in February 2016. It was nice doing it then, especially as we previously visited Oxford and Blenheim Palace in 2015, but I didn’t do my blog back then.
We’ve had some weekends away where we’ve enjoyed Tony Jacobs and his music. This was at Richardson’s South Downs Holiday Village in Bracklesham Bay in April 2016 and October 2016, at Thoresby Hall in May 2017 and at Gunton Hall in November 2017, which was great.
When I attended the ‘Stars of Time Film and Comic Con 2016 @ The Tropicana’ in Weston-super-Mare in August 2016, I shared a holiday report on my time before and after the convention. I’d spent Friday and Sunday enjoying the sights of Weston-super-Mare. 🙂
I’ve also enjoyed a few trips to Bath, both as day trips and as holidays. My parents and I visited Bath and Dyrham Park in June 2017, and we’ve had holidays in Bath in October 2017 and November 2017. Bath is another lovely holiday resort for me and my parents. 🙂
We’ve also done trips to London, including where I attended the ‘London Comic Con Spring’ in February 2022 as well as the London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds. Recently, my best friend Stephen and I had a weekend in London in August, which we enjoyed.
As well as seeing ‘Fawlty Towers – The Play’ and ‘Back to the Future – The Musical’, we enjoyed Madame Tussauds and the London Eye. At this point in time, my Mum and I have seen ‘Back to the Future – The Musical’ in London recently and we’re on our way back home.
My parents and I are going to have another holiday to Bath shortly. We’d like to do a holiday in Scotland sometime, as we did that many times pre-2015. Whether we’ll do a Scotland holiday is another matter. Whatever happens, I hope to share more holiday reports soon. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

Thank you for sharing, Tim.
