Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s Day 17 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2024.
Here’s the seventeenth Christmas recommendation by me on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.

One of my fondest memories of Christmas in December 2008 was watching the 2005 Disney film ‘Sky High’ on TV via BBC One on Christmas Eve. ‘Sky High’ is one of my favourite superhero films and I’m pleased that it was shown on Christmas Eve in that year.
This year, I revisited ‘Sky High’ on Disney+ as well as revisited and reviewed the junior novelization of the film. It can be argued that ‘Sky High’ is an underrated cult classic, especially when it presents the situation of high schoolers with superpowers at a school.
I’m saddened ‘Sky High’ didn’t have a sequel or a TV show to continue its legacy, as I would have loved to have seen how the story of Will Stronghold and his friends would have continued. Maybe they could have fought more foes from the Commander’s past. 🙂
The fact the film was shown on Christmas Eve in 2008 proves that it has some potential in being a winner with audiences. If the film was ever shown again on TV at around Christmas time, I would happily rewatch it. It’s fun and it features a superb stellar cast. 🙂
Perhaps one day ‘Sky High’ will be reignited in some form. Whether it’ll be with the original cast or with a new cast and whether it’ll be a sequel film or a TV show, I don’t know. Regardless, I’ll hold the original ‘Sky High’ film with high praise and many fond memories.
Thanks for reading!
