Day 8 – ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2024

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 8 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2024.

Here’s the eighth Christmas recommendation by me on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.

If there’s a Christmas tradition that must be abided by, it’s to check out the first ‘Home Alone’ film and, if you’re in the mood, ‘Home Alone 2: Lost In New York’. I consider the first two ‘Home Alone’ films to be the best out of the six, as I’ve enjoyed them thoroughly.

Yes, the second ‘Home Alone’ film might be considered a rehash of the first film, but it’s still entertaining and I have fond memories watching it as a kid back in the 1990s. It’s certainly better than the latter four ‘Home Alone’ films that we’ve had in the series so far.

Not to say I haven’t enjoyed the latter four ‘Home Alone’ films. It’s just they’re not good when Kevin McCallister isn’t in them. I know the fourth film has Kevin in it, but he was played by a different actor. Also, the fourth film’s continuity doesn’t match to the first two.

It astonishes me that there are six ‘Home Alone’ films for us to check out, with one exclusively available on Disney+. If you take my recommendation, the first two ‘Home Alone’ films are the ones to stick to. It’s always best to eat a Domino’s pizza with them. 🙂

It’s funny when Kevin ordered a pizza to be delivered at home in the first film as well as when he had a pizza and a coke in a limousine whilst staying in New York in the second film. If you’re able to watch the first two films in a row, I assure you, you’re in for a treat. 🙂

Thanks for reading!

Tim 🙂
