It’s Day 1 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2024.

Here’s the first Christmas recommendation by me on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.

The ‘Dad’s Army’ TV series did four main Christmas Specials, including ‘Battle of the Giants!’, ‘Turkey Dinner’, ‘My Brother and I’ and ‘The Love of Three Oranges’. Out of the four main Christmas Specials, my two favourites are ‘Turkey Dinner’ and ‘My Brother and I’. 😀

There are also four ‘Christmas Night with the Stars’ mini-episodes, including ‘Santa on Patrol’, ‘Resisting the Aggressor Down the Ages’, ‘The Cornish Floral Dance’ and ‘Broadcast to the Empire’. I enjoyed ‘Resisting the Aggressor Down the Ages’ and ‘Broadcast to the Empire’.

It’s always nice to revisit the ‘Dad’s Army’ Christmas Specials when I can. I know there have been further adaptations of these Christmas Specials since then. I’m pleased ‘Battle of the Giants!’ and ‘Turkey Dinner’ have been adapted into audio productions for the ‘Dad’s Army’ radio series. 🙂

Big Finish have done a few more ‘Dad’s Army’ audio adaptations, including ‘My Brother and I’. I’ve yet to check out ‘Dad’s Army: The Radio Show’ collection by Big Finish. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to do so for my blog’s 10th anniversary celebrations in 2025.

There are also the animation versions of ‘Santa on Patrol’ and ‘Cornish Floral Dance’ for me to update and do in-depth reviews on, based on the ‘Dad’s Army: The Missing Episodes’ DVD. I greatly recommend checking out the ‘Dad’s Army’ Christmas Specials. 🙂
