‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2024 begins tomorrow!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog where Christmas time is served! And I’m Tim Bradley! 🙂

It’s that time again for me to share another ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar’ on my blog for December 2024. As you can see, I’m using the previous ‘Bradley’s Basement’ Christmas wallpaper I used for December 2023 to celebrate 60 years of ‘Doctor Who’. 🙂

I’ve updated it slightly to have it say ’61’ years of ‘Doctor Who’ instead of ’60’. I haven’t been able to put together a new Christmas wallpaper together. Hopefully, I’ll be able to for my blog’s 10th anniversary in 2025, and I wanted to make use of the previous wallpaper again.

My original plan for my 2024 ‘Advent Calendar’ was to do a series of daily reviews on episodes in the vinyl editions of certain ‘Doctor Who’ stories. Sadly, I haven’t been able to do that for this year with me being busy attending conventions these past two months.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to do that for a future ‘Advent Calendar’ someday. In the meantime, I’ve decided to share a series of Christmas recommendations by me, including movies, Christmas Specials and ‘Doctor Who’ stories, which I’m hoping you’ll enjoy checking out.

These will be shared over the first 24 days of December 2024 in the run-up to Christmas. Once again, I won’t be sharing a series of Christmas-themed reviews per week in December like I’ve done in previous years, as I haven’t been able to find time to do them.

It’s a shame, but hopefully I’ll make up for it for my blog’s 10th anniversary. I’ll be sharing some Christmas-related items in the days building to Christmas and hopefully share reviews on things I’m likely to receive at Christmas, which I hope will be exciting. 🙂

One of the Christmas items I’m hoping to share in December 2023 will be a spoiler-free video reaction on the upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special called ‘Joy to the World’, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. I also hope to share a review on the colourisation of ‘The War Games’ soon.

‘The Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for December 2024 to January 2025 will be happening. I’m still putting it together with three more reviews left to add. Hopefully, I’ll get all the reviews uploaded and scheduled for release from the end of 2024 to the start of 2025.

There will also be a review on the upcoming ‘Wallace & Gromit’ film ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’, which I’m looking forward to seeing on Christmas Day. There’s also bound to be quick reviews on films and TV shows I’ll be seeing on Disney+ very soon.

There are some Christmas films I’ll be seeing at the cinema, which are re-releases of films I’ve already reviewed, including ‘The Polar Express’, ‘Elf’, ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’. Hopefully, I’ll share my cinema experiences of these films as well. 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing the upcoming ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Christmas Special in the Channel 5 TV series sometime in December. I’m also looking forward to enjoying a Christmas night trail at Bute Park in Cardiff and I hope to share photos on that soon.

There aren’t any plans for me to check out the upcoming ‘Call the Midwife’ Christmas Special this year, since I missed out on the previous season – Series 13 – shown earlier this year. I might check out the new Christmas Special on a whim, but it’s not a guarantee.

It’s likely I’ll be sharing more news and updates about ‘Bradley’s Basement’ at Christmas time in the weeks to come, but we’ll leave it there for today. I hope you’ll enjoy my brand-new ‘Advent Calendar’ featuring my Christmas recommendations, which starts tomorrow.

Keep watching this space and stay tuned!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
