Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I hope you’re keeping well, and I wish you all a Happy Christmas. I pray you’re keeping safe; despite the trials and tribulations we’ve faced these past few years. If you’ve been following my blog these past seven years or have just come here on a whim, I hope you’re enjoying Christmas Day with family and/or friends. 🙂

Recently, I went to see limited re-releases of two Christmas films at my local Showcase Cinema in Nantgarw. They were limited re-releases of ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Elf’. I saw ‘Elf’ yesterday on Christmas Eve. 🙂 Here’s a photo of me in my red Christmas pullover enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows with Santa Cuddles and his friend Buggles, also in Christmas gear, joining me. 😀

Whilst we enjoy the festivities of today with family and loved ones, let’s not forget that Christmas happened because of Baby Jesus being born in Bethlehem, so that we can be saved from our sins when our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, died on the cross at Easter time. There are my reviews by me on ‘The Nativity Story’, ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ and ‘It’s a Boy!’ that shares more insight into the Christmas and Easter stories involving Jesus.

I have been busy lately, especially with preparing for ‘Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary in 2023 next year, but I’m hoping I will share what I’ve had in terms of Christmas presents for the rest of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. I’ll be attending church services this morning to celebrate Christmas. Thankfully, Christmas church services are less restrictive with the Covid-19 pandemic not being so severe nowadays.
I hope to share a review on the 2022 Christmas Special of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, which was shown on Channel 5 on the 23rd of December. It might be shared later on today. Stay tuned. 😀 I’m also sure I’ll be watching the 2022 Christmas Special of ‘Call the Midwife’ later today, as it’ll be shown on BBC One at 7:55pm. Hopefully, a review on that will come soon on my blog in the next few days or so. Stay tuned for that as well. 🙂
Sadly, there isn’t a ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special for 2022 or a New Year’s Day Special for 2023, as the next set of ‘Doctor Who’ episodes are saved for November 2023 to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary. Have no fear though, as my ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Billy and the Daleks called ‘Return to Christmas’ is available on my blog. I hope you can find time to check out the story if you’re able to.
There will be something Sarah Sutton-related later on today to celebrate Christmas, so stay tuned for that. Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from 2022 to 2023. I pray that Sarah Sutton and her family are enjoying Christmas as well as many other ‘Doctor Who’ stars like Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Matthew Waterhouse, Sophie Aldred, Wendy Padbury, etc.
I pray that Christmas Day will be a special day for everyone. I know there has been a lot of strife for everyone following the Covid-19 pandemic, which is a huge shame and a downer. But whatever way you celebrate the occasion, and even if you don’t celebrate it at all, please know that God loves you very much and he did that by sending Jesus as a baby boy to save us all from our sins.
I leave you now with a YouTube video featuring a ‘Mr. Men’ story that has Christmas in it called ‘Mr. Snow’, read by Arthur Lowe of ‘Dad’s Army’ fame.
Enjoy!
Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂
