Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Here’s something for you to check out over the Christmas period. During the summer holidays in 2002, Stephen, my best mate from school, shared with me a VHS recording of an ITV comedy programme that was shown in June 1999. This was ‘Animals Do The Funniest Things’, which I enjoyed.
Originally, this programme was a one-off, presented by Michael Barrymore, who is joined by his CHIMPANZEE sidekick named Aaron the Chimp. 😀 The programme is a bit like ‘You’ve Been Framed’, only funnier. It presents video clips of animals doing funny things with presenters, adverts, films, sports and being friends with each other.
There’s also a chimpanzee game show called ‘Waku Waku’. 😀 The way the show had the chimpanzees like Aaron talking with human voices was quite clever for its time. I don’t think something like that could be done again today. The exchanges between Aaron and Michael Barrymore are very amusing to watch.
Recently, my best mate Stephen shared with me that the 1999 programme of ‘Animals Do The Funniest Things’ is available on YouTube. I’ve been able to check out the programme again on YouTube and I’ve enjoyed revisiting my nostalgia. Why not check out the YouTube video to see for yourself what amusing things the animals get up to?
As well as Michael Barrymore and Aaron the Chimp, there’s also the Taco Bell chihuahua making a film commercial to promote the 1998 film ‘Godzilla’, and there’s a Kitkat advert where a man tries to hypnotise a dog act like a chicken. There’s plenty to enjoy in the following YouTube video. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Thanks for reading and watching!
Bye for now.
Tim 🙂
