Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
So, it has been a while since I’ve done a blog post and/or a review on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. It’s been about a week since I did my 7th anniversary blog posts back in September, including the ‘Return to Christmas’ preview. And this is not the regular ‘Basement News’ blog post that I share every month.
Rest assured, I have been busy with stuff related to my blog and I hope to do a combined ‘Basement News’ blog post that covers October and November. I hope to share something, whether it’s a blog post and/or a review on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, soon. So, why has there been absence on my blog lately?
Well, let me try to explain. You see, I’m currently writing my own two-part 60th anniversary special of ‘Doctor Who’. I’m halfway writing ‘Part One’ and I’m looking forward to writing the rest of the episode before I proof-read it and then get onto writing ‘Part Two’. At present, it’s all very exciting here.
I’m also in the process of getting some ‘Doctor Who’ 60th anniversary celebration-related blog posts ready for 2023, including 60th anniversary marathon blog posts and reviews on Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ throughout the year. I’m hoping to update my review on ‘The Abominable Snowmen’.
My updated review on ‘The Abominable Snowman’ should be posted on my blog sometime next week if all goes according to plan. I’m also in the process of getting my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season ready for December 2022, as I’m currently revisiting the first ‘Forty’ box set of Big Finish audios.
I’m also getting my Advent Calendar for December 2022 ready, as I’ve already scheduled the first three days of the Advent Calendar for that month. With me having to do the 60th anniversary-related stuff, the ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews and the Advent Calendar; it’s eaten up a lot of my time. 😦
I can’t do the non-‘Doctor Who’-related reviews that I’ve wanted to share this past week, since I’ve been prioritising on stuff that’s going to be shared when it comes to December time and when it’s 2023. I’ve had to sacrifice certain reviews in order to focus on ones that need my time and attention.
It’s a shame this is the case, but hopefully it will be worthwhile, and I can enjoy tackling the 60th anniversary-related stuff as well as the upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews and Advent Calendar blog posts without getting stressed out on other projects should I not have the spare time for them.
In addition to this, I’m afraid I won’t be sharing the ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Strange Love’ discussion post on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Black Orchid’ with Timelord007, Wolfie and WilliamsFan92 that I was hoping to share in December. And all this isn’t with just me being busy for the rest of 2022 here.
Wolfie himself is having to work on and edit the upcoming Divergent Wordsmiths anthology ‘A Sparkle of Doctors’, which I’m looking forward to seeing in its complete form. WIlliamsFan92 is also rather busy with university work and other things if you check out his latest update post on his blog.
Postponing the ‘Black Orchid’ discussion is something I’m gutted about. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do another collaboration with Timelord007, Wolfie, WilliamsFan92 in future, whether it’d be a ‘Strange Love’ discussion or not. I hope to ask them to help me out with my 60th anniversary special at some point. 😀
For now though, it’s probably for the best that I don’t add on to everyone’s busy schedules as well as my own, as I wouldn’t like the ‘Black Orchid’ discussion to be a source of stress. I’m still hoping to write up a quick review on Series 3 of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series sometime in October 🙂
I’m also looking forward to checking out and reviewing the upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ BBC Centenary Special called ‘The Power of the Doctor’ with Jodie Whittaker. There’s Series 2 of ‘The Larkins’ coming soon on ITV1 and I’m looking forward to watching and reviewing the season sometime soon.
I have been watching ‘Moon Knight’ on Disney+ recently and I hope to watch the last episode soon before I share a quick review on it. I may have to postpone on checking out other ‘MCU’ and ‘Star Wars’ shows on Disney+ with me being so busy lately, but hopefully I will be able to check out the other shows at some point.
I will try my best to share at least one review per week, starting with my updated review on ‘The Abominable Snowman’ next week. That’s not a guarantee that will happen, but I’d like to think I can at least review something one day of each week in the build-up to November and December in 2022.
I’m currently enjoying writing my own two-part 60th anniversary special of ‘Doctor Who’ and I hope to share a few details about it soon. Hopefully when December comes, the Advent Calendar and the ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season will be all there and that there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy. 🙂
Thank you for your patience and continued support on my blog and hopefully everything will be exciting again when December comes.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim 🙂

Hi Tim.
I enjoyed reading this update post. I’ve been meaning to get around to purchasing ‘The Abominable Snowmen’ on Blu-Ray, as well as ‘Forty 2’ in order to review them both. I have however purchased ‘Cobwebs’, ‘The Whispering Forest’ and ‘The Cradle of the Snake’ yesterday, which was my birthday. 😀 One of the presents I got was a remote-control Dalek. I also hope to use my birthday money to purchase ‘An Englishman on Gallifrey’.
I think it was best that we postpone the ‘Black Orchid’ discussion. I have a question about it. I was wondering if I could fill in the bits of the discussion I haven’t in the last section we did. Could I do that, or would you prefer it if I waited until the discussion is officially resumed.
Thanks for providing a link to my update blog post. I’m hoping to continue reviewing stuff on there, such as ‘Hexagora’. I’ve started listening to ‘The Children of Seth’.
Take care, WF92.

Hi WF92,
Glad you’ve enjoyed my update post. I’ve watched ‘The Abominable Snowmen’ on Blu-ray for the second time and hope to write up my updated review on it sometime this weekend. I’ve written my new review on ‘Secrets of Telos’ from ‘Forty’ and hope to revisit ‘God of War’ before I check out ‘The Auton Infinity’ for December. Hope you enjoy ‘Cobwebs’, ‘The Whispering Forest’ and ‘The Cradle of the Snake’. Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you enjoy your remote-control Dalek and hope you get to purchase ‘An Englishman on Gallifrey’ on DVD soon.
You’re more than welcome to fill in more bits to the ‘Black Orchid’ discussion we’ve done so far. I’ve actually archived the e-mail for it at my end, so if you can e-mail me to let me know you’ll filled in some new bits to the discussion that’ll be fine. I actually have an idea in terms of what we can do for a future collaboration between you, me, Timelord and Wolfie, but I’ll let you know about that at a later date.
I look forward to your reviews on ‘Hexagora’ and ‘The Children of Seth when they come out on your blog. I’ve seen the latest trailer of ‘The Power of the Doctor’ on YouTube. I’m excited and nervous. 😆
Many thanks,
Tim 🙂

Hi Tim.
I too have seen the trailer for ‘The Power of the Doctor’ and really enjoyed it. I hope to review ‘Eve of the Daleks’ and ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’ before it comes out, which I will either do on Blu-Ray or BBC iPlayer. I also hope to watch the extended version of ‘Dragonfire’ soon in order to review it.
Take care, WF92.

Hi WF92,
I look forward to your reviews on ‘Eve of the Daleks’ and ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’. Hope you enjoy the extended version of ‘Dragonfire’ before you review it.
‘The Power of the Doctor’ is scheduled to be shown at 7.30pm on Sunday 23rd of October. Very exciting. And I’ve seen the premiere photos featuring Jodie, Mandip, Sacha, Janet, Sophie, Jemma and Chris Chibnall. 😀

Hi Tim.
Yes, I saw those photos as well. They looked cool, although I noticed John Bishop wasn’t in any of them.

Hi WF92,
Yes, you’re right. John Bishop wasn’t in those photos. He must have been busy at the time doing one of his stand-up shows or something. A shame he didn’t attend. Hopefully he’ll good to see as Dan in ‘The Power of the Doctor’.
