It’s Day 8 of ‘Bradley’s Basement‘s Advent Calendar 2015.

8 is a good number for me as my birthday is on the 8th of May. I’d like to share with you what my favourite Disney/Pixar movie(s) is. This movie brings so many happy memories for me!

Yes! It’s ‘Toy Story’. This is one of my favourite movies when I was a kid back in 1995. I remember watching this at the cinema with my dad when I was very small. I also remembering enjoying the movie with McDonalds and collecting the Happy Meal gifts of the ‘Toy Story’ characters back then.

‘Toy Story’ has become a trilogy of movies as ‘Toy Story 2’ was released in 2000 (in the UK) and ‘Toy Story 3’ in 2010. I love watching these movies now and again as I’ve enjoyed the adventures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, now movie icons around the world).

I had ‘Buzz Lightyear’ the toy as a present from my parents one Christmas. It was the best Christmas present I had. My parents ended up being Arnold Schwarzenegger in ‘Jingle All The Way’ as they got the present on Christmas Eve at the last minute. I had no idea I put them through all that trouble. 😀

I’ve seen more Disney/Pixar movies including ‘A Bug’s Life’; ‘Monsters Inc.’; ‘Finding Nemo’; ‘The Incredibles’; ‘Ratatouille’; etc. I loved watching those films as well, but I always think of the ‘Toy Story’ movies as the best Disney/Pixar movies as they were what I grew up when I was a kid then.

I saw ‘Toy Story 3’ at the cinemas in 2010. I’ve grown out of playing with toys by then, but I always have fond memories of these movies when I was a kid. ‘Toy Story 2’ is my favourite out of the trilogy. I understand there is now going to be a ‘Toy Story 4’ movie in 2019. How amazing is that?! 🙂
