‘NEVER STEP ON A SCORPION’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

This ‘Spider-Man’ story introduces the Scorpion in the series. Like previous ‘Spider-Man’ villains, we don’t get to know the true identity of the Scorpion, although I assume it is Mac Gargan. This story surprised me since there was an instance where I thought it was over but then it wasn’t over. Hmm!
In the story, Dr. Stillwell creates the Scorpion for J. Jonah Jameson to destroy Spider-Man. The Scorpion’s evil nature soon overwhelms him as he not only goes after Spider-Man but Jameson as well. Jameson does become a scaredy cat with the Scorpion going after him at his Daily Bugle office.
It is amusing when the Scorpion gets arrested for the first time but manages to escape easily to get after Jameson again. Clearly police security measures aren’t as good as they’re made out to be. 😀 Thankfully Spider-Man manages to web up the Scorpion again and stop him from getting Jameson. 🙂
Jameson even cheers Spider-Man on for fighting against the Scorpion. I did think Jameson’s line of not caring about the world and caring about getting Spider-Man was strange. Shouldn’t Jameson care about the world in his newspaper role? Peter struggles to ask Betty Brant on a date in this story.
‘Never Step on a Scorpion’ rating – 7/10
