‘KRAVEN THE HUNTER’

Please feel free to comment on my review.

In this episode, Spider-Man comes up against the ferocious Kraven the Hunter who first attacks Dr. Mariah Crawford. Kraven was originally Sergei Kravinoff, a man who went on an expedition with Dr. Crawford into the jungles of Africa. There, Kravinoff was severely injured before Crawford cured him.

Crawford cured Kravinoff with a special miracle drug. Not only did it cure him, but it made him pretty ferocious. He acted like a wild animal of the jungle as well as a hunter. This distresses Crawford. She tries to find an antidote for Kraven the Hunter as he was the man she fell in love with.

Peter/Spidey happened to discover Dr. Crawford with Kraven the Hunter by chance when he was going for a job interview at the Hardy Foundation Research Center. Spidey does all he can to help to Crawford, but makes the mistake of putting her in Robbie Robertson’s flat. Kraven follows the scent.

Yeah, why did Peter/Spidey think putting Dr. Crawford in Robbie’s flat was a good idea? Surely Peter/Spidey would’ve left a note to let Robbie know who Dr. Crawford is. Or even better, have Spidey tell Dr. Crawford to expect Robbie and tell him who she is and why Spidey sent her. But nope!

Kraven kidnaps Robbie as he mistakes him for being a lover of Dr. Crawford’s. I feel for Robbie in this situation as he has no idea why Kraven came to his flat and he gets put into trap over a waterfall at an animal zoo in New York. Thankfully Spidey saves Robbie in the end, but he’s still clueless about it.

Peter also attends a special fashion show that Mary Jane Watson is partaking in. There’s a nice scene between Peter and Mary Jane there. Peter also meets up with Felicia Hardy and soon has a problem when he’s committed to dating Mary Jane before Felicia asks him to take her out as well. Complex! 🙂

Very soon, Peter/Spidey has more problems to worry about once Kraven makes a scene at the special fashion show. Spidey follows Kraven to the animal zoo in New York City. I find it amusing that Felicia and Mary Jane saw Peter get out via the back door. Each thought he had abandoned them. 😀

At the animal zoo in New York, Peter rescues Robbie and Dr. Crawford from Kraven. Once Kraven gets injured, Crawford restores Kraven with a new anti-serum. It changes him back to the normal man he originally was. Sergei and Crawford are in love again and Peter is left without anybody again.

‘Kraven The Hunter’ rating – 8/10
