Quick Trailer Thoughts – ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, it’s finally here! We’ve waited for it and it came! The first trailer for the upcoming film ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has arrived! As a Spider-Man fan, I couldn’t resist checking it out. Thus, it’s only fair I share my thoughts on what I think is going to happen in this film.

Let’s check out the trailer first! 🙂

So, from seeing the trailer, it’s clear that we’re continuing from where we left on at the end of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, as Peter Parker is now forgotten to her friends Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones and Ned Leeds. I’m glad it’s both Michelle and Ned that have come back for this fourth film.

There’s also a mystery going on concerning Peter Parker seemingly having trouble with his spider-powers, reminiscent of what happened in ‘Spider-Man 2’ with Tobey Maguire. Not sure if Peter will lose his powers for a little while or if his powers are strangely mutating. 😐

There doesn’t seem to be a definitive villain in ‘Brand New Day’. There’s Mac Gargan, played by Michael Mando, who appeared in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and becomes the Scorpion, and there’s Frank Castle a.k.a. the Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal in this film.

It’s nice to see Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner in ‘Brand New Day’. I don’t know if Bruce Banner is going to become the Hulk at some point in the film – more likely Professor Hulk as seen in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ (which I’ve not seen yet).

The tone of the film is more serious compared to earlier instalments of the ‘MCU’ era of Spider-Man. This is clear when jeopardy levels seem to be high concerning the crime rates in New York as well as Peter who’s about to lose his love interest Michelle to another man.

To sum up, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ seems promising as a film featuring my favourite superhero. I’m glad we’ve had an update on what’s going to happen in the film, and the trailer serves well in getting us Spider-Man fans excited in wanting to see the film at cinemas.

The film is due to come out at the end of July. Hopefully, it won’t be long till we see it. 🙂

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
